January 2nd, 1800 - Lumenian Intelligence Bureau News Excerpt
Today marks the 5th anniversary of the Lumenian Intelligence Burearu's formation, which was formed under Prime Minister Ciela Konoha on January 2nd, 1795, 2 months before Lumis Lando was officially recognized as an independent country.  Since its incarnation, The Lumenian Intelligence Bureau has been dedicated to providing Lumenians news from around the world  in a fair and balanced manner.  In celebration of this event, Konoha is expected to propose reforms to allow a more diverse and free press.  


January 9th, 1800 - Lumenian Intelligence Bureau News Excerpt
Today, the first Small Arms factory opened in the capital of Nova, Lumis Lando.  The opening of the factory was led by Emperor Mateo Ren, who had spearheaded the construction of the new factory, citing a need for new Lumenian weaponry to replace the older model weapons taken from the Helghast.

"As we move on passed our struggle with The Helghast Empire, we must take even more steps to become self-sufficient.  If we are to keep our independence, we Lumenians must provide for Lumenians."  Emperor Mateo Ren spoke at the opening ceremony, "We may pray for peace, but still prepare for war."

On Friday, a group of over 800 Lumenians gathered to peacefully protest the opening of the Small Arms Factory in Nova, Lumis Lando.  Protesters held signs calling for peace and more talks with other countries rather than continuing with Isolationist policies.  Prime Minister Ciela Konoha responded to the protests on Saturday, saying that while she agrees Lumis Lando should take steps to develop relations with other countries, it is still necessary to expand their military complex.  Emperor Mateo Ren was unavailable for comment.

January 20th, 1800 - Lumis Lando, Nova, The Throne Room
Mateo Ren leaned back in his chair, taking another long draft of his cigar before once again turning his attention to the nearby Prime Minister, Ciela Konoha.
"As you requested, I have arranged an escort and convoy ship for your visit to the Europan and Acandian Empires."  Ren spoke disinterestedly, "Your temporary replacement will take over your responsibilities in the meantime.  Hopefully your trip will prove useful, but I doubt that will be the case."

Konoha nodded in response, "Perhaps, but we will know we had tried anyway."
