History:
The Helghast are humans who originated from the harsh weather of Russia's climate. Originally colonists who fled the growing tension during The Great Scouring they attempted (after many years) to become an independent political body due to their beliefs that the the United Kingdom wast too corrupt and too inefficient to deal with their specific needs. Eventually, the ancestors of the Helghast amassed a large number of armed forces and became such a threat to the United Kingdoms survival that they were forced to take drastic measures to prevent the Helghast from seceding from their ranks; this conflict is known as the First Extrasolar War.

The Helghast were defeated in the First Extrasolar War to the United Kingdoms and were then occupied by the UN. After many years of hardship and oppression under UN rule. Most of the Helghast fled to the furthermost reaches of the old territory known as Russia. Their bodies were mutated by the harsh weather and the radiation (from the bombs dropped during the early years of The Great Scouring), resulting in most of the first generation dying only a short while after they arrived. However, future generations had increased resistance to the atmosphere/weather, and even wore masks to help them breath.

Eventually, a depression set in that allowed the man known as Cody Leal to rise to power. He created the Helghast ideology, saying that
they were more than human now, and that the UN could never fully understand this. Emperor Cody kick started industry in the Helghast Nation, quickly building his military up in secret. When his military reached peak potential, he reengaged in hostilities with the UN, and this conflict is now known as the Second Extrasolar War. Victory was quick due to the Helghast's advanced armory and sheer determination, they destroyed the UN. After victory over the UN the Helghast Empire shrank back within the territory of the forgotten Russian country.

Two decades have past and Cody gazed upon the world from his empire and saw that in the UN's absence, other factions have sprung up and were starting to expand. Realizing what was happening Emperor Cody stirred up the Helghast Nation and was gearing for war.

The Armies of Helghan were on the march to war once again

Though they sweep over our lands like the sands of winter, never again will we bow before them; never again endure their oppression; never again endure their tyranny. We will strike without warning and without mercy, fighting as one hand,one heart, one soul. We will shatter their dreams and haunt their nightmares, drenching our ancestors' graves with their blood. Even when they tear through our nation, with our last breath we will rise again from the ruins of our cities and they will know that HELGHAN BELONGS TO THE HELGHAST"

"We are once again facing a threat to our nation as a whole, while we reveled in our victory over the UN, while we were lax in our global standing, nations have sprouted across our continent and we must smother them from this world. I do not call upon you to fight in the name of me or power, I call upon YOU, sons and daughters of Helghan to fight for the sake of our nation and our people."

History: The Northern Commonwealth Society is a recent commonwealth comprising of the rag-tag remnants of the former UN.

After many brutal wars in the United Kingdom, Scandinavia, and Germany, a majority of the population in these former countries were eradicated, which led to numerous warlords fighting amongst each other in an attempt to vie for supreme power.

Many young people sought to escape this constant state of conflict and destruction, and eventually, a society was born in the former city of London. This group of people, who called their society the Commonwealth, wanted to revive the concept of democracy and create a pseudo-Utopian society. The Commonwealth was also interested in technology and ideologies long lost, and went through a period of restoration where history and former arts were researched and even practiced in some cases.

However, due to the firepower and aggressiveness of nearby warlords, many of the Commonwealth were killed or captured in a battle inside of London's former slums. Those who survived escaped to Scotland and recreated the Commonwealth, renamed The Northern Commonwealth Society, under new leadership and a more hawk-oriented policy. Their new policy emphasized isolationism, but at the same time, every person above the age of 13 was required to join the military - due to the nature of TNCS, very few people were above the age of 30, and thus this increased manpower significantly. Quickly, TNCS became a military power in its own right, and took control of all of Scotland.

Under the leadership of Erwin Donelle, TNCS began to expand its control in order to accommodate its steadily growing needs. In effect, its military might also increased, and the government began to take a more centralized role in society, however its people still felt such measures were necessary.

Most of their military technology and battle doctrines were recovered from ages past, during a time in which a global war shook the world. Although sometimes technologically inferior to its rivals due to the dating of its war machine, the people of TNCS are fiercely loyal to their kin and are known to never leave each other behind. Its people cry and die together, and they look at each other as the closest of siblings, and their leader as a beloved parent-figure.

National Anthem, sung among its soldiers before every conflict:
