Heavy has always been independent despite being told everything he was to do in the boot camps, he always valued loyalty above skill. When he finnaly completed his commando training and command training he chose his squad based on this core value. As it would turn out it was a great move and quickly accelerated his squads fame as they completed all of their given missions without a single casualty. all because his squad had complete and utter trust in his judgment. one rumor told of Heavy instructing a single member to stand in the path of a spider droid as it traveled up the path, the droid quickly saw this lone commando standing in the open and advanced upon him. the droid got within 10 meters of the commando and loaded a shell into its cannon, Heavy help up his hand from behind a bush to instruct his men to hold position. The firing pin could be heard as it drew to its full length and right when the pin started to move is when the order was given for a sniper to fire his shot down the cannon and hit the pressure tip. the cannon was shredded and the droid was quickly captured.

He has a strong confidence in his decisions and is rarely ever wrong in them, this is the key quality in which his squad trusted him so. He will defend any call he made to the very end. He views the innocent as the ultimate object of his services and protection, he will throw his life away to save one innocent life. this perhaps due to them never being trained to fight and a reminder of what he lost when he took up his role.

Heavy grew up in the slums of coruscant, his mother gave birth to him in a gully but died shortly after. His father was a vagabond and often came home beaten to near death just trying to feed his young son. As Nicloas turned 8 his father had been found in a alley behind a tavern, the senate didn't have much of a child protection program that involved the very poor. Nicolas was often beaten for what little food he was able to scrounge up, but when he hit puberty everything started to change. Nicolas started to grow at a extreme rate and his body became heavily muscled from the scavenging he had to do every day. 

With his newfound strength and size he quickly started to become a fierce opponent to anyone who tried to rob, kill, or kidnap him. He often crushed most people under his feet when they dared to challenge him, his strength alone is what saved him starvation and depravity. 

His life changed dramatically at the age of 19 when a strike team had a mission to deal with an underground kingpin, it was a very rare sight to see troopers and commandos going into the slums but Nicolas didn't care about them or what they were hear for. As the team moved in they passed Nicolas in his little cardboard house, one of the men accidentally kick a small stick that held up his little abode. Nicolas feeling the disrespect instantly took to violence and grabbed the trooper and threw him out of the alley they rest of the team tried to subdue him and were continuously beaten and thrown off. The Commando in charge finally got tired of this bullshit and stunned him with a pulse round

He woke up in a room on a table and the commando enters through the door "you are now a part of the Republic, if you want to leave you can but i doubt you will live as good there as you will here", Nicolas reluctantly agreed to the proposal. He was put through rigorous testing and simulators. He performed well in these regards but he fail when the test concerned sacrificing a single life to save others, in this regard he hesitated and rejected the notion of committing such a horrendous act. 

He graduated with honors but there was always a note of caution under his name for he tended to disobey orders once innocents were involved in any way, with such a thing on his record he was never sent to republic held worlds to commence operation. he was afield on sith grounds.

He was assigned under the command of a jedi knight, the name of whom was announced to him. But it was his nature to hold this man safety with steady hands while in his command.

Mare Imbrium was born on the icy planet Gale located in the mid-rim Hoth's Brand Sector.  Her mother was a Sephi immigrant and her father was a human miner.  Gale always had a poor economy and mining was a thankless job, so she grew up in poverty from the beginning.  Things worsened even further when her father was killed in a mining accident, leaving her mother to fend for themselves in a harsh environment with very little income.  They received nothing in compensation, partially because of the ongoing war effort, and partially because the Senate simply had too many colonies to waste time debating about something as insignificant as worker rights, especially in a far-away colony that provided only a fraction of their war supplies.  Even at the age of 8, she understood that their situation was unchangeable, and the unsatisfied colonists around her constantly reminded her that they'd always remain on this planet, forever supporting The Republic's war effort without any of the benefits.

Her mother began to rely on local drugs and alcohol as a way to cope with stress and the utter disappointment that was her life.  Although she does not quite recall if she was ever abused, Mare Imbrium was also unhappy with their situation and got into many fights with the locals, almost as if to say it was all their fault.  She also did what little work she could, but at 10 she could hardly maintain a job in such an environment.  Her most vivid memory of this time, aside from the fighting, was coming home again and again to her bed-ridden mother screaming "Luctus!" - a word from her native language that meant "Despair."  At her age, she had to admit it - her mothers life, and hers as well, was truly utter despair.  Soon enough, her mother died due to constant drug overdose.  During the next year, she lived in abject poverty, only surviving on handouts and whatever she could steal from others.  At a certain point she felt as if she were no longer even alive, and "survival" became the same as "the end".  She welcomed death, but it would not come.

At the age of 11, a battle occurred in the Hoth's Brand Sector, and although the fighting did not initially make it to Gale, troops were stationed on the planet for protection.  There, she encountered her first Jedi Knight.  Although she cannot remember his name, she still remembers her encounter with him.  He was drawn to her and offered to take her to the core worlds, stating that she had the potential to become a Jedi Padawan.  He fed her and gave her a temporary place to stay, yet all she could feel was hate for him and everything he was a part of.  "Such an ironic twist-", she had thought, "After my mother and father died living their life on this rock, I'll be able to finally leave because of some chance encounter."  At one point her internal rage, not just towards the Jedi Knight but towards The Senate, The Republic, her life, her situation, her mother who wouldn't stay with her and her father who pointlessly died, all of it boiled over resulting in a force feat that caused the death of the Jedi Knight.  Scared and unsure of what she had did or what to do now, she attempted to escape the area before being caught by Republic soldiers.  However, her capture did not last long as she was soon found by Darth Obdormio.  Obdormio was a large and menacing pure-blood Sith Lord who was fighting in the nearby conflict but arrived once he felt her usage of The Force.  He offered her two choices - to go with him and continue surviving like a rat, or die like one on this planet that her parents died on.  She went.

Years and many trials later, Obdormio finally recognized Mare Imbrium as his apprentice.  As was Sith tradition, she was to choose a new name in order to finally leave her past behind and accept the Sith teachings.  She could think of only one word that could symbolize her life, her entire being.  "Lucius."  Despair.

Luctus has always lived for herself and values nothing more than her own personal gain and growth.  While not particularly mean-cruel or bloodthirsty like other Sith, she also has no qualms with doing whatever it takes to get her way.  She comes off as hedonistic, yet hardly seems to be able to sit down and appreciate any kind of pleasure since she is always focused on surviving and growing stronger - a trait developed at a young age.  She speaks with a sharp, deadpan wit but is actually fairly easy-going when allowed to be - on the other hand, she takes vendettas and personal grudges very seriously and is suspicious of those she considers a threat to her well-being, justified or not.  She distrusts Jedi and sees them as a group of well-groomed aristocrats born in core world sectors with everything having been given to them since birth, including their talent.  She prefers not to think about her past, and instead focuses on the present.
